Hello and welcome to Julie's Art Studio, an online gallery of original large scale paintings and one-of-a-kind art by artist Julie Thomason.

Julie Thomason BFA, MACP, RCC, (she/her) graduated from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2008 where she explored visual arts including; painting, sculpture, photography, drawing and printmaking in the heart of Granville Island in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Her work explores representational figures and the natural world, in one-of-a- kind, large-scale, original pieces. Reflective of her appreciation for eastern philosophies, her style is often minimalistic.
She is inspired by psychological and emotional states and experiences that are difficult to convey and aims to use the human figure and oil paint in evocative colors to express these.
Julie also graduated with a masters degree in counselling psychology and works as a psychotherapist and supervisor in private practice in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada or the ancestral, traditional and unceded territories of the Coast Salish and S'ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō) Nations.
Her art work has been shown locally in the Fraser Valley and many art works reside in private collections across the Pacific West Coast.
Please enjoy browsing and feel free to reach out and contact me via email on the connect page with any questions that you may have about the art work and feel free to follow on Instagram @art.studio.julie.
